Group Camp Details [5th Dec to 8th Dec]

Hi all,

I hope you are prepared for this upcoming group camp because we have a whole lot of activities which will involve everyone, both Leaders and Scouts. Do come to camp with an open mindset and things will be fun! Below are the details and the groupings. Please note that there are some changes to the groupings as we have to balance the number of people per group for each activity.

Packing List (For 4D3N)
1) Full Uniform with beret/unicorn scarf
2) Socks x 3 pairs
3) Clothing for 5 days – Min. 5 sets (can bring plain tees. Girls to bring 2-3 dark coloured tees for activities)
4) 1 set of long pants for night activity (can bring more if you want for sleepwear)
5) Toiletries (towel, soap, shampoo, toothbrush toothpaste, shaver etc.)
6) Utensils (plate, fork, spoon, mug)
7) Torchlight
8) Sweater/Jacket
9) Sleeping Bag (you’ll be sleeping in ridge tents so advisable to bring)
10) Water bottle (min. 500ml. No disposable bottles. Bring and label a proper bottle)
11) Writing materials 
12) Personal First Aid Kit (mosquito repellent, plasters etc.)
13) Extra pair of shoes (for rugged activities, can bring water booties also as substitute)
14) Sandals (no slippers)
15) Poncho and Groundsheet (everyone MUST have their personal set)
16) Extra plastic bags
17) Sunblock (if you don’t want to get sunburnt)

Things NOT to bring
– Valuables (PSP, MP3 etc.)
– Too much money (there is nothing to buy there at Sarimbun)
– Mosquito coil (not permitted to light any there)

For those who have not camped in the ‘wild’ before, I’d advise you all to get a proper rucksack and pack all your stuff inside. Also, do ensure that you waterproof your stuff especially your clothing. The last thing you want to have is to wear wet clothing due to rain. Lastly, those who have not handed up the consent forms, please hand up to Ms Hamida as soon as possible. PLs/APLs, please assist your patrols in getting their stuff prepared.
