Serangoon Gangshow

The last time I went for a gangshow was many years back, almost a forgettable memory. Gangshows are performances put up by scouts and guides of different units in a concert-like setting. It is also a good opportunity for each unit to showcase their talents!

For Unity, it was the first time ever that our scouts were putting up a performance and I hope it wasn’t the last. The theme given to us was the 70s, and the song selected was Breaking Up Is Hard To Do by Neil Sedaka. With almost no experience in putting up performances as well as a tight schedule (practice only started after NDP), credit must be given to Chao Yan and Meiqi for doing up some research and finding an appropriate dance and getting the performance practices done within 2 weeks.

Though we didn’t win anything this time round, but all of us think the performance was fantastic! It is not as much the result but the hard work put in to put up a good show. Great work! Hope we can see more performances in future campfires.
