Ubin Camp: 17 – 19 Nov (Sat – Mon)

Hi all,

I’m sure most of you are by now aware of this camp and have already started preparations within your respective patrols. We will be meeting this coming friday (16th Nov) for an inspection of kit. Details as follow:

Friday (16th Nov)
Venue: outside Scouts Den
Time: 3pm onwards
Attire: School uniform or PT Kit
Notes: There will be no meeting this friday. Instead, all are to bring your bags to school. We’ll carry out an inspection. This will be mostly for your benefit so that if you have forgotten to pack any stuff, you’ll still have some time to get whatever you need and bring it on Saturday. Once the bags are inspected, you can leave it in the Scouts Den overnight so you won’t require to lug a huge bag to School on Saturday morning.

Saturday (17th Nov)
Time: 7am sharp!
Attire: Half-U (Please bring along your full-U if you haven’t done so the previous day)
Notes: You are to assemble in school at exactly 7am sharp! Bus will leave school by 730am promptly. Before that, we’ll do a last minute finalization of our equipment, including filling up of the jerry cans to take over to Ubin.

Reminder for those who haven’t gotten the items mentioned below. These are compulsory items and each one should have your own personal set of items:
– poncho (no disposable ponchos allowed)
– mess tins (1 set)
– water bottle (2 x 500ml bottles – minimum)

Scouts are encouraged not to bring too many valuables and money to camp since there’s nothing to buy on the island anyway. All PLs are to meet up with your patrol members before friday if possible and prepare your patrol items (tentage and so on).

Yours-in-Scouting,
SL Jeremy

ps: I’ve added a tagboard to the blog. (left-hand corner) However, due to the limitations of Live Spaces, tagboard can’t be displayed here. Instead, you’d have to right-click on the link to open it as a new window or new tab. Better than nothing because now you can post your queries and myself or others can answer them.
